It is now possible to apply for the issuance of a new Gen2v2 driver card regardless of the expiration date of the current one.
With the new Gen2v2 card, drivers can use all the advantages of the SMART2 tachograph, such as:
- automatic recording of border crossings to the card without stopping
- full synchronization with the new Smart 2 tachograph
- complete data record from the Smart 2 tachograph to the driver’s card
- recording on the driver’s card for loading/unloading locations
Due to certain errors that occur when using the SMART 2 tachograph, our analysis has determined that some of the errors appearing on SMART 2 tachographs are caused by the use of older card versions originally intended for SMART 1 tachographs (first-generation smart tachographs).
To ensure optimal operation of the SMART 2 tachograph, we recommend using the appropriate cards intended for this generation of tachographs – Gen2v2. Proper use of compatible cards will certainly help reduce errors and improve the technical characteristics of the tachograph.
