Driver working time recording

Recording driver working time is mandatory for all drivers of vehicles equipped with tachographs. Carriers are required to maintain records in accordance with the Law on Working Time of Mobile Workers (NN 75/13, 36/15, 152/2022) and the Regulation on Data Transfer and Methods of Keeping Records from Tachographs (NN 109/2018).

Timeframes for record-keeping:

  • Recording working time: every 35 days
  • Downloading data from the driver’s card: at least every 28 days
  • Downloading data from the digital tachograph memory: at least every 90 days

Starting from December 31, 2024, drivers will be required to carry working time records covering the past 56 days. Roadside inspections will review records for the period of 56 days instead of the previous 28 days.
